Out of the 100+ teams that attended from 88 universities across Europe, our team (Fırat Fuat Olcay, Serdar Pehlivan & me) was one of the winners of the Huawei 2024 Munich Tech Arena competition! Our team represented Turkey & Germany (Since we all did our bachelor's at the Turkish-German University in Istanbul), and we were the only team representing Turkey.
The competition, held from September 2024 to January 2025, was related to generating precise individual HRTFs (head related transfer functions) associated with the listener's anthropometric data based on multi-view pinna images. Winner teams were determined through a leaderboard of accuracy scores (which is nice. Can be more objective than jury decisions, but not always better).
