We created a holistic solution for improving the e-waste management process in B/S/H and other businesses. Our solution included: Scanning containers full of old home appliances using X-Ray, automatically unloading the containers, identifying appliances using sensors and computer vision, and making decisions in order to create best-possible value out of respective old appliances using reinforcement learning. We created two functional physical prototypes and displayed them to the audience. We devised a realistic roadmap and business plan that convinced the jury. See the slide deck for more details.
